13 DAY CAMEL SAFARI Alexander The Great Road Program: Alexander Road Cairo - Farafra- White Desert - Great Sand Sea -Siwa - Cairo DAY ACTIVITY DISTANCE 1st Day Drive from Cairo to Bahariya oasis by minibus. Lunch in Bahariya oasis. We get acquainted with the camels and sleep at the mountain, Gabal Gunna. Approx. 365 km 2nd Day Start with the camels to Wadi El Obaiyed in the White Desert. Camp in the fantastic landscape (sculptures of limestone). Approx. 30 km 3rd Day Ride to Ain Dalla, an old Roman spring. Approx.35 km 4th Day We reach Ghard El Malfouf, a chain of dunes, which is part of the Great Sand Sea that extends to Siwa. Approx. 35 km. 5th Day During the ride to Kosban, we enjoy the impressive sand dunes. Approx. 35 km. 6th Day Ride along the dunes to El Sabaa Russ. Approx. 35 km 7th Day We reach Sotra, a far-off forgotten oasis.   Approx. 30km. 8th Day From Sotra to Heduwed 3, which lies in the Great Sand Sea.   Approx. 30 km. 9th Day We pass one of Egypt's most beautiful oasis, El Areg, which can only be reached by camel because of the area's soft sand. In the evening we arrive at Bahrein, an oasis situated between two lakes. Approx. 30 km. 10th Day We ride to the deserted ruins of Zeitun.   Approx. 25 km 11th Day In Bir Wahid, we enjoy a refreshing bath in the spring and take our last view to the Great Sand Dunes. Approx. 25 km. 12th Day We say good-bye to the camels, get into jeeps and drive to Siwa with its beautiful old town, Shali. From the mountain El Dakrour we will view the entire oasis. We take a bath in Cleopatra's spring, visit the ruins of Alexander the Great temple and El Mauta mountain with its pharaonic tombs. From island Fatnas, we enjoy an unforgettable sunset. Accommodation at the  Hotel.     13th Da In the early morning start to Cairo via Alamein, where we can visit the war museum, rèmembering the Africa invasion.
