How can I book a tour to Egypt? Is there a
list of tours I can choose from?
You can choose from a list of tours on our home page, based on the
number of nights you would like to stay, or from the packages link.
If you do not see the exact choice you like, you can also send us a
personalized request specifying the details of your desired trip.
After sending a request to us by email, we will then respond to you
with a contract. Once you send the contract back, along with a 25%
deposit, your reservation will be complete.
What if I do not like any of the tours
listed on the site? Can Minamar tailor-make a tour for me?
Yes, Minamar can tailor-make a tour for you. Just send a request
specifying the desired details of your trip and we will be happy to
accommodate you.
Is the company really reliable? What is the
profile of the company?
Yes, we are a certified travel company, listed in the Ministry of
Tourism. We own two hotels and two small cruise ships. Our trips are
run entirely by our own staff, with our own equipment. We have been
operating for over 11 years, with many repeat customers.
How many offices does Minamar have in
Egypt?
We have six offices, in Cairo, Siwa, Bahariya, Luxor, Aswan and
Hurghada.
How many hotels does Minamar own in Egypt?
We own two hotels and two small cruise ships.
How do we settle the payment? Is there an
advance deposit required?
After you confirm the tour, we will send you a contract with details
of how to make a payment. A 25 percent advanced deposit is required,
payable by wire.
Is it safe to camp in the western desert?
Is Egypt safe as a country?
Yes, we take full responsibility for the privacy and well-being of
our clients, taking all necessary precautionary safety measures.
Statistically speaking, Egypt is much safer than the United States
or Western Europe, with lower rates of personal and violent crime.
We follow formal procedures specified by the Ministry of Tourism and
the Tourist Police, providing them with copies of our itineraries.
Does the Dahabiya sail if there are only 2
people?
Yes, we guarantee the departure date, even if there are only two
guests, at the same promised rate.
Why are Minamar tours cheaper than the
others?
Minamar tours are cheaper than other tours because we use our own
tours, cars, jeeps, hotels and drivers. We also give the guests the
local price.
What should I bring with me to Egypt?
You should bring a hat, sunscreen and sunglasses for the sun,
comfortable walking shoes, any necessary medications, especially
medication for seasickness if you are on a cruise, camera and
batteries, and clothing made of breathable fabrics. Women should
also bring a scarf or shawl if they plan to visit any mosques or
smaller villages. For desert trips, please bring casual wear and
sports shoes.
